The virtual PrepareRI Internship Program is available to all of Rhode Island’s public high schools, including comprehensive high schools, career-technical high schools, and public charter high schools. Skills for Rhode Island’s Future (SkillsRI) commits to partnering with every public school district to ensure every Rhode Island public school student has access to the PrepareRI Internship Program.

High School Engagement
To help facilitate areas of coordination, SkillsRI has identified these activities for schools to engage in the PrepareRI Internship Program:
- Recruit student for the PrepareRI Internship Program. SkillsRI will provide marketing materials for schools to post and distribute
- Schedule orientation sessions for students and parents/guardians
- Schedule student interviews with SkillsRI
- Recommend employers to host interns
- Promote PrepareRI on school social media platforms
- Identify accommodations needed for students
